Within 1 to 2 weeks he was bopping/turning and supporting his own head to look up and around by himself, and developing the ability to stand on his feet when held! This one is out of control, we don't even want him to stand but he gets fussy and insists on kicking those legs until he is standing on his own! It's hard to control his arms and powerful legs, they are just so strong....what less than one month old does this? Virgil does I guess...
And having problems with an alert newborn? We don't, every doctor has no problem looking at his little eyes as he doesn't fall asleep at appointments and is constantly looking right back at you...Our first pediatrics apt. at less than 2 weeks old had the doctor suprised that when he walked in the door and said "Virgil!", Virgil literally turned his head at the Dr. and looked back! Not to mention his ability to (in utter frustration) turn his entire body onto it's side and squirm to the nearest body laying nearby. I don't know how he does it, but somehow he is able to use gravity and his squriming-ness to get himself rested on his side....
